Faraway Garden Warrior

The Faraway Garden Warrior is a perfectly proportioned replica of one of the 8,000 terracotta warrior statues of the army of Qin Shi Huang, the first emperor of China. They had sat untouched underground for more than 2,200 years. Each warrior has unique facial features and styles, buried in battle formation to represent a real army and are split into infantrymen, archers, generals, cavalrymen, charioteers, officers, and guards of honour - all different in their expressions, clothing, and hairstyles.

This beautiful statue works wonderfully as a centrepiece in a rose garden, in a formal knot garden or nestled in an herbaceous border. It makes an impressive focal point when raised on a pedestal in a flower bed, circular water feature or at the end of a green hedge walk. It looks great treated with a sepia wash for an aged effect as shown in photo. It is shown here on our Hermes pedestal (sold separately).

Over many years, statues have played a prominent role as focal points in gardens. From the most grand and ornate gardens with large figures, to small creatures in a naturalistic setting, statues bring life and surprise to a garden.

Available in Sepia.
